The HomeBrew
Robotics Club
was resurrected from the ashes of the original HomeBrew Computer Club by a
group enthusiasts who were interested in the emerging field of robotics.
We currently
meet from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm on the last Wednesday of every month (except
December) at the SEE SPECIAL NOTICE BELOW located inside the NASA Research Park (NRP) complex in Mountain View, California (San Jose Metro area). HBRC members have a range of expertise in robotics that includes beginners, experienced amateurs and professionals. There are no age restrictions or membership dues, so if you have an interest in the field of robotics, please join us. SPECIAL NOTICE: The venue for the October 27th and November 24th meetings will be hosted by Google (courtesy of Ryan Hickman) on their campus at:
The meetings will begin at 7 PM and end at 10 PM. ALL ATTENDEES WILL NEED TO REGISTER IN THE LOBBY - THIS IS THE NORMAL GUEST PROCEDURE WHEN VISITING THE GOOGLE CAMPUS. HBRC MAIL LIST If you are interested in robotics and
would like to keep abreast of club and member news, you will want to join our mail
list. If you have a Google Groups account, you can simply add our
list to your personal groups. If not, it is easy to set up a free

http://groups.google.com/group/hbrobotics HBRC SIG The HBRC Special Interest Group is where members help each other solve construction, software, and design problems incurred while building their personal robots. This meeting is held from 7:30 to 10:00 PM. at the same venue as the General Meeting but on the 2nd Wednesday the month i.e. one week before the General Meeting. Note: Until further notice, the venue for SIG meetings will be a the Menlo Park Tech Shop at 120 Independence Dr., Menlo Park, CA The SIG also plays host to the KidSIG where robots are made available for kids to share. Kids with their own robots may bring them to run and for show and tell. All kids are welcome but each must be accompanied by a responsible adult. IEEE RAS HBRC members are welcome to attend IEEE Robotics and Automation Society meetings which are also held at the Silicon Valley Campus, Carnegie Mellon University on the first Wednesday of each Month.
